Veragua Rainforest Reserve

I have really been looking forward to this day, as i am about to set off on the 50 minute journey to the Veragua Rainforest reserve. This is my best chance to see a Sloth in the wild.

Veragua Rainforest Research & Wildlife Park is located on a 1300-hectare private reserve surrounded entirely by Rainforests. The park is a buffer zone for La Amistad International Park, which is shared by the countries of Costa Rica and Panamá.

One of the exciting things about this destination is that it has an arial tramway that takes you up into the cloudforest canapy to an area of forest only acessable by this means.

I have uploaded a video of the arial tram on the My Videos section of the website. Do have a look as it illustrates what the term rainforest really means.
